The Calhoun County Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD) group is active and providing assistance to all who need help recovering from Saturday’s severe storms. If you are in need of assistance please call 2-1-1.
By calling 2-1-1, citizens will have direct access to available resources that will help in recovery efforts. Calhoun County VOAD can provide assistance with debris cleanup that occurred during storms on Saturday, January 11, 2020, and more through various means of recovery support. To meet with a Calhoun County VOAD member you can stop by the Disaster Relief Center located at the East Central Alabama United Way 1505 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, AL 36201. Thier office ours are Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) provides low-interest disaster loans to businesses of all sizes, private non- profit organizations, homeowners, and renters.
What Types of Disaster Loans are Available?
• Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) – Working capital loans to help small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private, non-profit organizations of all sizes meet their ordinary and necessary financial obligations that cannot be met as a direct result of the disaster. These loans are intended to assist through the disaster recovery period.
