COVID-19 Numbers Reporting Change

Since the beginning of COVID-19 Calhoun County EMA has only reported CONFIRMED case numbers and has not included PROBABLE in the total count. Alabama Department of Public Health has recently changed the definition of PROBABLE case to include persons tested by rapid antigen tests and has begun to combine CONFIRMED and PROBABLE to get a total countywide counts.


Starting on 10/1/2020, Calhoun County EMA will begin reporting TOTAL Case Count which combines both the CONFIRMED and PROBABLE cases numbers.
