Current Phases

Current ADPH Eligible Groups

The Alabama Department of Public Health has created a Vaccine Allocation Plan for the State of Alabama. The County Health Departments follow this plan and determine what groups receive the vaccine. Starting on Monday, February 8th, ADPH will expand eligible groups to include the following:  

People age 65 and older

Healthcare Workers

First responders (EMS, Police, Fire)

Food and agriculture workers

U.S. Postal Service workers

Manufacturing workers

Grocery store workers

Public transit workers

People working in education (teachers, support staff, community college and higher education)

Childcare workers

Judiciary, including but not limited to circuit judges, district judges and district attorneys

*NOTE*

The Calhoun County EMA does not receive vaccines, nor distribute them. For further information regarding when you are eligible, please call the Health department.

Where can I get the vaccine?

Please understand the demand of vaccines far exceeds the supply. Please be patient as the State rolls out the vaccine in a phased approach. Please see contacts for vaccine below.
