The Alabama Department of Revenue has granted an extension of time for obtaining March and April 2020 vehicle registrations. The registration deadline has been extended through May 15, 2020. The Commissioner of Licenses office would encourage residents to utilize available county electronic services to renew motor vehicles, business licenses, driver's license and manufactured homes online or mail processing. All mail fees have been waived and credit card processing fees have been reduced. Phone lines will be staffed and operational from 8:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday in order to assist with phone renewals and registrations or additional licensing assistance, 256-241-2900.
